The humble colouring pen will give you bright, bold and impactful designs. Think outside the box here and you can include glitter pens, metallic pens, fluorescent pens, and highlighters! And the biggest bonus? All the fun and no mess.
You will need:
Your chosen colouring pens
Optional: A curious mindset, Kickass playlist, Inspirational moodboard and colours
Step One: Choose colours
Choose and test your colours on a separate piece of paper, until you are happy with your 3 – 4 colours to work with (or more or less, depending if you want a multi colour or monochrome style).
Step Two: Colour in
However you do it... there really is no right or wrong way. Just relax, have a favourite drink, music or podcast on. And enjoy!
Experiment: You might like to try out and combine using regular colouring pens with one or two specials, like a gold metallic or a purple glitter pen. Oooh yea.
Top Tips:
Don't worry about painting outside of the lines, or not fully filling with colour inside the lines. This in fact makes it personal & unique. It will have a charm that you cannot buy.
Do combine different colouring mediums for a unique look. You could also use pencil crayons or water colours.
Have fun!
